About Us

Steven Sanchez, the founder and lead physical therapist at Recover Physical Therapy, serves the Odessa/Midland community with dedication. Born and raised in Odessa, Steven is an alumnus of Odessa High School. He pursued higher education at the University of Texas, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in biology in 2004 and a master’s in physical therapy in 2007 from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. His expertise is further recognized by a prestigious Fellowship of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT), an honor bestowed upon only 2% of physical therapists worldwide.

 

Steven’s professional focus spans several specialized areas of physical therapy. These include manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, post-surgical care, vestibular and balance rehabilitation, and geriatric physical therapy. His active American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) membership underscores his field commitment.

 

Steven's personal life is a reflection of his commitment to a healthy and balanced lifestyle. He values quality time with his wife and three children, and maintains his physical fitness through activities like High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and participating in local triathlons. This personal dedication mirrors his professional commitment to health and wellness.
